La Sagrada Familia The formal title is the La Sagrada Familia is a very large and very beautiful Roman Catholic basilica that is currently under construction in Barcelona. Antoni Gaudi worked on this project for 40 years of his life and the last 15 years of his life was devoted only to this project. Gaudi passed away in 1926 and the construction was continued by Domenech Sugranyes until the Spanish Civil War in 1935. There is still work being done on some parts of the church in 2006. This work focused on the crossing and supporting the main tower of Jesus Christ plus the central nave which is destined to become the Glory façade. |

| Casa Battlo The Casa Batllo was built in 1907 by Antonio Gaudi . It is more commonly known as the House of Bones for the skeletal similarities on the front of the building. | Barcelona Cathedral The Barcelona Cathedral, this Cathedral was built sometime in the 13th century to the 15th century. This particular Cathedral is dedicated to the Saint Eulalia of Barcelona. It has some superstition that goes with it. It is the center point of one of the most lively squares in Barcelona, street performers, galleries, restaurants and bars line the plaza that is home to the impressive structure. |

Picasso Museum The Picasso Museum in Barcelona illustrates the evolution of Pablo Picasso as an artist from childhood to maturity through more than 3500 of his works of art, which make up the permanent collection in the gallery. The Light Show The project, designed by the engineer Carles Buigas consisted of a series of cascades and fountains between the Palau National, the main exhibition center on the Montjuïc , and the Plaça d'Espanya at the foot of the hill. It took one year to complete the project. The most spectacular part was the monumental Magic fountain. It was originally intended to show people what could be achieved with filtered electrical light. |
