A native of Haifa, Israel, Levy has an extensive background in squash both as a player and a coach. Upon completing his three-year commitment to military service in Israel after high school, Levy founded and managed a squash club where he taught squash for three years. An outstanding player in his own right, Levy is also an excellent teacher of the game's fundamentals. Levy played on the Israeli National Team and coached the Israeli Junior National Team (ages 11-17) for three years. Upon graduating from Williams with a degree in Economics/Political Science, Levy went to work in New York at Lehman Brothers as a mortgage trader before returning to Williams.
"I'm very excited to be able to coach the sport I love at such a special place like Williams," said Levy. I love this place so much, I feel that I owe something to Willliams I just love working with these kids and I'm really looking forward to a fantastic year for both teams next year." As the interim coach this past year(2002), Levy directed the Eph men's team to an 8-10 record and a 10th place finish in the national tournament, while capturing the Little Three title. Under Levy the Eph women's team compiled a record of 11-8 and finished 7th nationally. The highlight of the women's 2002-03 season was the first ever win over Princeton, 5-4, in a match played at Yale.
